How can I help you? I loved that question as I watched a father say that to his young child who was in the midst of a tantrum. He quietly asked the question, letting his child know he was willing to listen, to comfort, and to help, without judgment. My favorite person often asks me a similar question when I feel like I am drowning with the demands and stressors of life. Sometimes I don’t know how to answer the question but its comforting to know that someone is there to listen.

This is illustrative of my approach as a therapist. I am here to listen to you, to make your journey easier. I seek to provide a safe, trusting place for you to explore and to heal; to assist you in recognizing your strengths and using them to address your needs and struggles. It helps to have someone to listen to you and accept you, without judgment. You might not know how to put into words your struggles, and that’s okay. Together, we can figure it out.

As each stage of life brings its own challenges and opportunities, I enjoy working with young to older seniors. I work with a variety of therapy modalities, utilizing what works best for you and your needs. And while tears are often part of the process, I like to use humor as well; to find ways to smile, even in dark times.

Therapy sessions last 55 minutes. Initial intake: $150/session. Ongoing therapy: $130/session.
